World Book Day Letter - find out about exciting reading challenges over February half-term and useful info about World Book Day at Parkdale

World Book Day Thursday 4th March 2021

We are really excited about World Book Day. At Parkdale, we are extending our celebrations over the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of that week. Children can wear their pjs to school on Thursday 4th if they wish. Home learners, you don’t need to get dressed either! Our school theme is Hopes and Dreams and we will be enjoying the fantastic picture book Wisp by Zana Fraillon.

The World Book Day Website

There are lots of fantastic resources on the WBD site, from cooking, colouring, puzzles and craft activities to reading, listening to stories and videos and much much more.

Be sure to check out the exciting live events at 10:30am on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of March

The book recommendations are also a great way to help children and families choose new books and explore new authors. Well worth a look too!

These are the £1 books for 2021
