Welcome to Parkdale Primary School Moving Forward, Learning Together

School Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils.

It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part
of the whole school community.

Some of the things we have achieved in the recent past include:

  • introduction of a Prayer Room for our Muslim pupils
  • helping design the new school dinner menu
  • getting the prize for the winning house made more exciting (a cinema trip)
  • choosing and buying lots of new play equipment
  • sorting problems with rotas, like table tennis and football
  • starting Friendship Stop on the playground for children who might not have anyone to play with
  • getting a pond and wildlife area
  • changing the rules on PE kit so you can wear your house colour

Messages From School Council

September 2017

"Elections in classes have taken place and our first meeting with Mr Hillier will take place next week."

13 Year Six pupils applied for a job on School Council. Mr Hillier was very impressed with their application letters, some of which included CVs and References!

Congratulations to Evie, who was appointed Chair, Charlie-Jacob, who was appointed Secretary and to Flo, who was appointed Vice Chair and Treasurer.

Well done also to these Year Six children, who have been appointed as Reps for our younger (Y1 and Reception) classes: Scarlett, Kira, Taiba and Alesha!

Mr Hillier has ordered our new badges, which will look exactly like this
